From lace blouses to balloon-leg trousers, there's been a string of summer fashion trends that have gotten our nod of approval. The latest—and perhaps most creative—one we've noticed? The most stylish fashion cool girlies wearing scarves as waist belts.

Okay okay... so technically, this trend exploded last summer, with everyone from Alexa Chung to Jennifer Lawrence donning the styling hack. But this year, it's back with a vengeance.

Mango, for example, has simply bypassed the need for a scarf and let you cheat the look. It's all thanks to their A-line skirt that features a built-in scarf design elegantly draped around the waist. That's 10 out of 10 for both initiative and style, if you ask us.

If we're getting technical about it, it's sort of a wrap-skirt-scarf-tie combo. The overall look takes inspiration from the classic wrap look, while the scarf acts as more of an overlay than a fastening.

Styling-wise, either keep things minimal with a simple tank top and sandals, or pair with the coordinating top for a sophisticated (but affordable) evening look. Here are a few similar options that give the same energy, too.
