Here ye, here ye: The Royal nuptials are about to begin. I mean, the wedding of the American royals, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. If the rumors are true (which it seems like it, per a New York Times report), the superstars will wed at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3.

There isn’t much we know for sure about Taylor and Travis’s wedding just yet (beyond the fact that the pair will be accepting no gifts). But as a lifelong fan of Taylor and a devotee to all things beauty, I’ve been speculating what kind of beauty vibe she’ll go for on the big day. If everything has been so meticulously planned—and an alleged ~$3 million spent—I’m keen to believe that she’s spent quite a lot of time deciding all the little beauty details. It’s likely she’ll stick with elements of her go-to look from hair, makeup, and nails, but with a few special touches. And I have some predictions!

Will Taylor wear a red lip?

A red lip has been Taylor’s go-to makeup look since she wore it on the cover of Allure in 2009. When she wore Pat McGrath’s Liquid Lipstick in Elson 4 in the “Bejeweled” music video, the shade quickly sold out… for two years. But Taylor did make her podcast debut on New Heights to announce The Life of A Showgirl in a neutral lip (rumored to be NARS Morocco). And kissing the groom with a mouth covered in bright-red liquid lipstick doesn’t exactly seem like the move, you know?

But! She has been opting for a muted terracotta lately, both when walking into the Electric Lady recording studio and at a friend’s wedding in Brooklyn last month. Could she be testing out new shades ahead of the big day?

My prediction: A muted red. It still feels signature to Taylor without overdoing it (or being too messy). However, I do think this will really depend on the dress's style (and she’s allegedly got a few outfit changes in the works, so we could get a few different lip shades throughout the day).

Will she wear eye makeup or keep things natural?

To be fair, we’ve rarely seen Taylor without winged liner in years. But will she go for a softer bridal look?

My prediction: A soft wing with a light shadow on the center of her lid. The girl loves shimmer. I don’t think she’ll give it up for her wedding day. Overall, I predict Taylor will go for a softer variation of her Eras Tour glam. She’s already perfected it with makeup artist Lorrie Turk, having worn the same look 149 times.

How will Taylor style her bangs?

The only thing we know for sure is Taylor won’t ditch her signature bangs. But she’s been known to style them differently throughout her red carpet and street-style appearances, whether they’re pushed to the side, straight across her forehead, or slightly parted in the middle.

Her bangs have been heavier than normal in her recent appearances, starting slightly farther back for the appearance of even more fullness. So there’s that to consider too.

My prediction: Full bangs across her forehead, maybe with a soft parting in the center. I think she’ll go with a slightly softer bang, though, so her hair isn’t falling into her eyes as she’s trying to recite her vows.

Updo or down?

While Taylor opts for both during different occasions, she tends to prefer an updo for most date nights and red carpets (á la the Songwriters Hall of Fame earlier this month, the Eras Tour film premiere, etc.).

If Taylor decides to wear her hair down, I anticipate she’ll choose old Hollywood waves, like her look at the 2024 Golden Globes. (This is easily my favorite hair look she’s ever done, if you were asking.)

My prediction: Updo. I take Taylor for a classic bride, with a cascading veil woven into a braided bun of some sort.

Will Taylor do her own nails? Or work with a celebrity nail artist?

Taylor is known for doing her own nails, even for the Eras Tour. But will she paint her own bridal nails or give that job to a professional?

My prediction: I think she’ll work with someone. At first glance, I thought maybe Taylor would want to do them herself as a way to self-soothe the pre-wedding jitters. But based on her engagement nails, where she opted for a light pink in a finish so shiny it appeared to be gel, I predict she’ll opt for something similar. Still short and soft, possibly a white French tip or a milky white, like the trending coconut latte nails.
