Meet the Cast and Characters of Netflix’s ‘Little House on the Prairie’
You’d never have the Dutton squad without the Ingalls family
They may be Charles and Caroline Ingalls in town, but they’re Pa and Ma to us. We’re going back to the coziest Wild West story there is this summer. Here’s what you need to know about the cast and characters of Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie.
The story is based on the books you may/may not have devoured as a child by Laura Ingalls Wilder. They were also adapted into a pretty popular television series in the 70s and 80s. They follow young Laura, a girl growing up in American Midwest in the late 19th century. Her family are new white settlers on the land in a time of, obviously, significant change. As for the other families and merchants in the area, here’s who we meet in season 1.
Alice Halsey plays Laura Ingalls
The protagonist of the series, based on the author herself, a young girl in a pioneer family.
Alice Halsey appeared in 66 episodes of Days of Our Lives. She also appeared in over two dozen episodes of the Disney Junior series Kindergarten: The Musical. Prior to that, she also starred alongside Brie Larson in Lessons in Chemistry.

Crosby Fitzgerald plays Caroline Ingalls
The matriarch of the Ingalls family becomes a school teacher.
Recently, Crosby Fitzgerald played Madison in The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox and Sylvia in Palm Royale. She also appeared in the 2026 film Crime 101.

Luke Bracey plays Charles Ingalls
Charles Ingalls, the patriarch, is a pioneer and farmer.
You know Luke Bracey from shows like Artful Dodger, Little Fires Everywhere, and Home and Away. His film credits include Elvis, Holidate, and Monte Carlo.

Skywalker Hughes plays Mary Ingalls
Mary is Laura’s older sister.
Skywalker Hughes recently played Sheridan Pickett on Joe Pickett. She’s also a voice actress you might recognize from the recent Blues Clues reboot.

Jocko Sims plays Dr. George Tann
Dr. Tann is the physician in town. He was also a real person!
Jocko Sims was a series regular on Crash, New Amsterdam, and How To Die Alone. He recurred on Masters of Sex, The Last Ship, The Resident, and Grosse Point Garden Society. On the big screen, you may recognize him from Jarhead, Dreamgirls, or Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

Barrett Doss plays Emily Henderson
Emily runs the general store in town.
Barrett Doss was a series regular on Station 19 and crossed over to Grey’s Anatomy. Other TV credits include 30 Rock, Girls and Iron Fist. She also originated the role of Rita in the musical Groundhog Day on Broadway.
Alyssa Wapanatâhk as White Sun
White Sun and her family live on a neighboring farm.
Alyssa Wapanatâhk played Lizzo on season 7 of Riverdale and Tiger Lily in Peter Pan and Wendy. Her other film credits include Bones of Crows, Cottonmouth, and the upcoming Tombs.

Wren Zhawenim Gotts plays Good Eagle
Good Eagle is a White Sun’s daughter and around Laura’s age.
Prior to this series, Wren Zhawenim Gotts played Young Bonnie (the character played in adulthood by Devery Jacobs) on the Marvel miniseries Echo on Disney+.

Meegwun Fairbrother plays Mitchell
Mitchell is Good Eagle’s father and White Sun’s husband. He also has a son called Little Puma.
Fairbrother has appeared on shows like Outlander, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Murdoch Mysteries.

Louis, White Sun’s cousin, is a member of the extended Mitchell family.
