ICYMI, Paige DeSorbo has been living la dolce vita on vacation in Italy, and it seems like her boyfriend, Joe D’Amelio, is along for the ride (I am so jealous). In a recent Instagram roundup, the Summer House alum gave her followers a look at her enviable outfits and all the mouthwatering food she ate during their getaway...and somehow managed to spark engagement rumors in the process, despite her only soft launching Joe one month ago.

So...why do people think Joe popped the question? Welp, a source hopped into DeuxMoi’s IG question box and said that Paige and Joe got engaged while they were in Italy. And yes, even THE celeb gossip was shocked at the possibility.

Then there was a picture that Paige’s friend and Giggly Squad podcast co-host, Hannah Berner, shared to her IG Story. Paige was on a FaceTime with Hannah, and in the pic, Paige held up a hand to her face and looked like she was on the verge of tears.

Adding further fuel to the engagement rumor fire was that several of the photos in Paige’s Italy roundup suspiciously excluded her left hand in the photos. (Psst: Scroll to the last slide to get a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it glimpse of what appears to be Joe.)

While these pieces of evidence are compelling, there are a few holes in this theory. For instance: In Paige’s Italy roundup, she shared a photo with bananas, electrolyte drinks, and antidiarrheal medicines (and she spilled the whole story about eating undercooked meatballs during the latest Giggly Squad episode...), so the timing would be less than ideal for Joe to pop the question.

@BravoHistorian on Instagram added even more doubt into the equation, writing on their Instagram Story, “Ok I've heard from a VERY reliable source, Paige is NOT engaged.”

FWIW, Paige and Joe’s relationship appears to be going swimmingly, engagement or not. Back in February, she even confirmed that they are “exclusive” in an interview with Us Weekly. “I’m in my 30s, so it’s not like I’m out every single weekend going out on multiple dates like I would have been in my 20s.”

Paige also told the outlet that her relationship with Joe is “really fun,” “very relaxing,” and relatively private. “Obviously, I’m in charge of my own decisions and stuff [now],” she added. “So it’s nice to be able to decide what I share and what I don’t [with] personal stuff.” That said, don’t expect Paige to come forward about any engagement until she’s good and ready to!
