While booking your summer holiday is extremely exciting, it can also be pretty expensive, which is why it's essential to know you're getting the best deal possible.
Step forward: Which?'s advice on the best flight comparison website, after their travel expert looked at flight marketplaces and compared where offered the best deal.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, Which's travel editor Rory Boland recommended booking flights online as opposed to over the phone, partly because some airlines charge for this service. He then went on to reveal which flight comparison site the Consumers' Association recommend.
"Earlier this year we checked fares on comparison sites and found Momondo was the runaway winner on price," he commented. "It had the cheapest fares on all 10 flights we looked at; beating Kayak, Google Flights and Skyscanner. On one Miami to London fare it was cheaper by nearly £300. I start all of my searches on Momondo."
The travel editor also recommended being flexible with your dates can often land you the best deal - or even your destination.
"If you’re flexible on when you’re willing to travel and where you want to go, use deal clubs like Jack’s Flight Club and Airfarewatchdog, where you’ll find promotions and error fares that can save you a packet or even upgrade from a bog-standard break to the holiday of a lifetime," he added. "There are brilliant savings to be made for those who travel at the right time - for example, flying to Budapest in September is £70 cheaper than in August but the weather is just about as good."
Take note, people.
