Between the best hotels in the world and this incredible pool built into a Bali mountainside, luxury travel is something we all aspire to. But is there anything quite as extra as having a seven course tasting menu underwater?

That's what's on offer at Hurawalhi Island Resort, the world’s largest all-glass underwater restaurant, and its own island in the Maldives. Casual. You can only get to the resort via sea plane, and the restaurant 5.8 seats roughly 20 people at a time, serving a five or seven course tasting menu.

Under. Water. Restaurant. Woah. As for the rest of the resort, it offers over 90 over-water and beach villas, which feature stairs into the sea and swimming pools by the water, as well as snorkelling, relaxing and scuba-diving. Villas go for roughly £900 a night, so you'd better start saving.

As for another place to add to your bucket list, please welcome Niyama Private Island in the Maldives to the stage. Their restaurant, Subsix, is also set underwater, and serves guests everything from fancy dinners to Champagne breakfasts.

As for the resort itself? It's spread over two islands: one for relaxing, where you can get a massage at the spa or take a yoga class. And one for more adventurous hotel guests, who can surf, kayak or even try diving.

The hotel is situated in the Dhaalu Atoll of the Maldives, and features a total of six restaurants and an ice-cream parlour that is open all day. For villas starting at £390 per night, that's another place we'll be dreaming of for the time being.
