All of Jocelyn's best (and most daring) fashion moments from 'The Idol'

The protagonist, played by Lily-Rose Depp, has some seriously outrageous 'fits in the show – and we've tracked them all down

By

HBO's new show The Idol, produced by Euphoria's Sam Levinson and starring Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd, has *finally* been released in the UK (streamable via Now TV and Sky Atlantic, btw) – and as expected, it's all anyone can talk about RN.

The plot centres around the beautiful yet troubled Jocelyn (played by Depp), a young singer in Hollywood whose last tour was derailed by a nervous breakdown, and who is now back and "determined to claim her rightful status as the greatest and sexiest pop star in America". Until, that is, she meets creepy club owner and cult leader, Tedros (The Weeknd).

The self-proclaimed "sleaziest love story in all of Hollywood", it's all very sex, drugs, rock'n'roll, with an at-times dark and disturbing exploration of fame to boot. And add to that plenty of behind-the-scenes drama and pre-release criticism, and you've got yourself one seriously controversial show.

But wherever you stand on The Idol, there is one thing we can all agree on – that protagonist Jocelyn has provided some truly *iconic* fashion moments.

Just one episode in, Jocelyn's wardrobe has been as naked, scandalous and out-there as you'd imagine, and it's all thanks to costume designer Natasha Newman-Thomas. Speaking recently with E!, she revealed that the character's clothes intentionally bring "a sense of darkness and sleaziness" to the show. "If you're a pop star on that level, you have to wear clothes that are unattainable to keep that fantasy status," she explained.

From *that* teeny tiny bikini that's more string than material, to her see-through clubbing dress and those already-iconic sunglasses she wears throughout, these are Jocelyn's best fashion moments from The Idol so far – and how to shop them for yourself.

In the show's opening scene, Jocelyn is taking part in a photo shoot for her new album cover, wearing a super sultry red and black lace lingerie robe that was custom-made by costume designer Natasha Newman-Thomas.

While that does, sadly, mean getting our hands on an exact match is impossible, you can shop some of the best dupes on the market below.

Only Jocelyn could rock up to dance rehearsals wearing next to nothing, and still look so painfully cool. Her tiny, strappy bra top is from up-and-coming brand Didu, while her micro-mini skirt is by Danielle Guizio and her trainers are Diesel. You can shop the full look below – and we've also spotted a great dupe of the mini-skirt at Skims, and a v similar bra top too.

Following the first of what we imagine to be many scandals Jocelyn deals with in The Idol, the pop star opted for a super-girly look for her interview with Vanity Fair. Her silky pink dress is by Nana Jacqueline, features a cute pearl-embellished cross-over neck strap AND it's just come back in stock online.

However, if you're anything like us, it's *those* epic sunnies that you've been dreaming of. They're Chanel, and Jocelyn's firm faves throughout the series (we've spotted countless shots of her wearing them!) featuring a chic oval cat-eye shape and the brand name stamped across the top. Excuse us while we purchase immediately (or, more likely, settle for the fab dupes below).

Jocelyn's *insane* see-through naked dress from the clubbing scene in episode one has been living in our minds rent-free ever since we first spotted it. It's by the buzzy LA-based brand Aya Muse, obvs – and we've heard it's going to be re-stocked verrrrrry soon. Woop! In the meantime you can shop the brand's latest collection (that's also full of fab nakey bits) here.

We've also rounded up a few of our current fave strappy see-through dresses below. You're welcome.

It's the look we've all been obsessing over for months (this exact pic has been one of the main promo shots for the show), and finally we got to see Jocelyn's epic Nusi Quero 'fit in action in episode two.

The futuristic pink bodysuit for Jocelyn's World Class Sinner music video is, sadly, a custom piece made specially for the show by the LA-based designer. BUT if you're looking for something *just* as impactful to wear to a party/carnival/music video of your own, we've found some similar pink bodysuits below:

As Jocelyn prepares to see Tedros after a few days apart, she goes all out with her 'fit for the occasion and slips into something suitably skimpy.

Her teeeeeeny red crop top embellished with pearls is by the Chinese brand Rui, best known for its super edgy, revealing designs – and luckily, it's still in stock (and comes in blue and black too). Her floral leather skirt, meanwhile, is an old-season piece by Kirin, the brand from world-famous DJ Peggy Gou. No doubt Jocelyn would love the backup we've found below, too.
