Spring may still seem far, far off (especially with the current weather forecast, brr), but now that we're in a new year, we can't help but look ahead to a new season as well. Sure, you'll have to pry us out of our fleece-lined thermal leggings and faux fur coats, but that doesn't mean we can't look at integrating some of the more seasonally-appropriate trends spotted on the spring/summer 2026 runways into our winter wardrobes.
Fresh jeans trends are one way to do this. Or, for a more obvious move into next season, you could introduce a new colour trend into your outfits – like pale pink. The ballerina-esque shade was spotted at Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton and Tom Ford and is set to dominate as the colour of the year.
Naturally, the high street has already started to embrace the hue. So, for how to wear it now, you can't go wrong with Next's blush pink 2-in-1 jumper slip dress.
An easy way to brighten up any January outfit without the risk of freezing, this dress masters effortless layering with a knitted round-neck ribbed jumper paired atop a lace-trimmed satin midi dress in the same soft pink colourway.
The best part? The jumper overlay is completely removable, truly giving you three outfits for the price of one. You could wear the jumper layered over the dress to work, then easily remove the jumper for evening drinks later that day. Meanwhile, the jumper alone is sure to become a regular in your weekend rotation paired with jeans, while the dress will come into its own for any summer weddings on your social calendar. Talk about a worthwhile investment.
We hate to say it, but we're officially bored of chocolate brown, and we're rapidly approaching peak saturation of all things burgundy (sorry). But you don't have to totally rid your wardrobe of anything in the luxe red wine shade, as it looks *so* chic when paired with pale pink. Both Elie Saab and Chanel paired the two colours together in their SS26 collections.
Try layering a burgundy wool coat over this jumper dress to perfectly bridge the two seasonal trends. Or, rely on accessories like the model's styling with a burgundy bag or knee-high boots to give added depth to your ensemble.
The dress is selling fast – so what are you waiting for?!
