Awards season is officially underway y'all, with the 28th annual Critics' Choice Awards taking place in California overnight. And, yep, there's a whole load of red carpet fashion to unpack. The best-dressed celebrities at the Critics' Choice were those who combined elegant red carpet silhouettes with fresh, unexpected details. So who made the list?

The biggest fashion trends from the night were daring cut-outs (Daisy Edgar-Jones and Sarah Hyland were both fans), voluminous see-through skirts (see: Lily James and Anya Taylor-Joy), snazzy sequins (Kerry Washington and Thuso Mbedu wore it best) and thigh-high slits (donned by Aubrey Plaza and Danielle Deadwyler).

Scroll through to see our list of the best-dressed celebrities to walk the red carpet.
