Is it just us, or is this year racing by? We're officially less than 70 days away from Christmas – *gulp* – which means only one thing in the world of fashion: party szn is fast approaching. Think slinky satin slip dresses, luxe velvet trousers, fluffy faux fur coats to snuggle up in and SO many sparkles. From jewellery to anything sequinned, there's no better time of year to add a little shine to your look.
Need a little inspo? Well, Emily Ratajkowski's new campaign with Self Portrait is more than delivering, IMO. The model, actress and podcast host stars in an advert for the London-based brand that showcases a day in the life of a retro beauty pageant. EmRata took to Instagram to share the official snaps alongside some bts pics and we're low-key obsessed.
Especially with her first look – a brown shaggy fur cropped coat (one of autumn winter's biggest fashion trends, FYI) worn over just a black triangle bra and high-waisted knickers.
Emily added black sheer tights to her look to nail the ‘no trousers’ trend and carried a black leather bowling bag embellished with crystal bows at each handle. You might not be brave enough – or warm enough – to copy her exact look for your own office Christmas party, but we'll definitely be following her lead when it comes to upping our winter coat game.
Something we will be trying to recreate to a T though is EmRata's second 'fit in the ad, a strapless red sequin maxi dress with a seriously plunging sweetheart neckline. Shoulder-grazing diamanté drop earrings added extra sparkle, because more is definitely more during party szn.
We're even tempted to try out her retro beauty look too, a deep side part and old Hollywood waves.
