Amelia Dimoldenberg is working late because she's out dating Sabrina Carpenter. Jealous? Us? Obvs. We loved our date with the pint-sized pop star when she sat down with us for an interview to accompany her Cosmo UK cover back in May. Luckily, the two made sure to film every moment as their union was part of Amelia's hugely successful YouTube series, Chicken Shop Dates.
While the date isn't out until tomorrow [Friday 23 August], we have glimpsed a sneak peek courtesy of Instagram. As well as the standard chicken and chips, espresso is also on the menu, natch. (Cue Sabrina's song of the same name stuck in our heads for the rest of the day, sorry not sorry.) And it appears Sabrina and Amelia made an effort to coordinate outfits, both repping XL collars and tiny bras in ensembles that nailed the office siren aesthetic.
Both looked like they'd come straight from the office in their workwear chic ensembles that featured a sexy date night twist. For Sabrina, that consisted of layering a blue and white checked half-cup bra over a white button-down shirt that featured a high-neck collar. A literal take on the underwear as outerwear trend. She added a black pleated mini skirt, sheer tights and black platform lace-up heels to her look. As for accessories, she added her trademark ‘SC’ inital ring as well as gold and pearl drop earrings.
Meanwhile, Amelia donned a Tolu Coker beige puff sleeve shirt – again, with an oversized collar emphasised with a multicolour striped tie – and pleated mini dress straight off the designer's autumn winter 2024 runway. She wore beige kitten heel mules from Western Affair on her feet and Completed Works mini diamond drop earrings in her ears.
As well as sharing an advanced look at the episode, the Chicken Shop Date Instagram account also shared a throwpack post of Sabrina's from 2023. Posing in London, the artist originally captioned the snap, “call me @ameliadimz”. Sharing on the series' Instagram stories, the message “I called 💋” was written above.
Yep, it's been a long time coming but we're so glad Amelia and Sabrina's date is finally here! And, if their outfits are anything to go by, it was clearly worth the wait.
