Living in the UK, the arrival of summer is *not* confirmed by sunshine and twenty-plus degree weather (as much as we wish it was). Alas, the Great British forecast cannot be relied upon. Instead, for us summer is marked by full social calendars. From weddings to festivals, and in 2024 – football.
Yep, in case you missed it, the UEFA European Football Championship AKA the Euros is back so we're channelling our inner Sporty Spice this season. Conveniently, football jerseys are a huge trend amongst the street-style set. Oh, and pop superstar Sabrina Carpenter, too.
The pint-sized singer was performing at Capital's Summertime Ball yesterday [Sunday 16 June] at Wembley Arena. While she started her set in a yellow and silver Versace checkerboard metal mesh draped mini dress from the fashion house's spring-summer 2024 collection, she later added an England football shirt over the top.

The Versace dress has proved to be a standout design of the collection. It was first debuted on the runway in maxi form by Claudia Schiffer, who later wore it again on the red carpet for the London premiere of Argylle. Plus, Anne Hathaway has also donned the full-length version too.
It had yet to be accessorised with an England shirt, though in support of Sabrina, what else would you wear at Wembley? The very stadium where the Lionesses emerged as champions during the UEFA Women's EURO 2022 tournament.
Fans were loving the look, commenting on Capital's Instagram post, "the england shirt was just complete" and "Sabrina in an England shirt 😍😍😍". Another took to X, formerly Twitter, to write, "sabrina carpenter is performing at wembley in an england shirt, icon".
