Julia Fox will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the most interesting and unique fashionistas of our time – if not of all time, tbh. For who else would step out in the nude but for some metal chain underwear one day, dress as a powerpuff girl the next, pose for a magazine cover wearing a dress made entirely from hair, and then fashion an outfit out of her dry cleaning?! Oh, and look insanely cool while doing so, too... Only Julia Fox – and that's exactly why we love her.

To say her outfits are controversial is an understatement, so when she's spotted out and about wearing something new, you know we're going to pay attention. And the look she chose to attend a Sotheby's event last night might just be one of her most out-there to date...

Julia Fox shared a pic of her latest 'fit on her Instagram stories, and we're not really sure where to begin with breaking it down for you tbh. How to explain a garment that is literally more cut-out than fabric?! Julia wore what looks like a white dress with a high neck and maxi skirt, but that stops at her chest and re-starts above the knee – exposing her full torso, thighs and teeeeny black knickers too. Oh, and paired with a dramatic frilled veil, lace fingerless gloves and a white handbag, naturally.

The only way we can think to describe the aesthetic is bridal from the waist-up, beach from the waist-down – but even that doesn't really cover it. Knowing Julia, that's probably the point... She loves to defy categorization, cause a stir and leave people scratching their heads, and this new bizarre but brilliant 'fit has done exactly that.
