Born in 2003, Olivia Rodrigo is too young to have been able to embrace 2000s trends the first time around. But fashion is cyclical. And to the horror of millennials everywhere, the era's trends have been deemed 'en vogue' again. Yep, cargo pants, butterfly tops and charm necklaces are what you should be wearing if you want to look on trend. No matter how triggering to your youth.

If Olivia's latest Instagram post is anything to go by, the Gen Z singer is making up for lost time and fully embracing Y2K fashion. Posting four days after the release of her second album, GUTS (as referenced in the caption), Olivia appeared to be celebrating the release with a champagne toast and a fancy 'fit worthy of such an occasion – an LBD.

But her little black dress had a *very* '00s twist. Two words: beaded butterflies. Scroll through to see:

The top of the design featured a bra top with each cup made in the silhouette of a butterfly and entirely embellished with sparkling beads. With an empire-waist bodysuit layered underneath a see-through mesh mini skirt featuring additional beaded butterflies. Olivia paired the dress with huuuge black satin platform sandals.

The LBD is actually from Dua Lipa's Versace collection which she co-designed with Donatella herself. The singer shared Olivia's post to her own Instagram story, writing over the top "angel girl @oliviarodrigo in our #LaVacanza collection @donatella_versace 😍😍😍😍".

It's the second throwback look Olivia has worn in as many days, having just yesterday shared a snap of her white satin cropped blouse and gold micro mini skirt. Her 'fit in question is iconically made up of Amber Valletta's skirt and Shalom Harlow's blouse that the two models wore to close Todd Oldham's spring 1995 runway show.

Everyone's clicking on...

A niche fashion throwback we are here for. We told ya fashion is cyclical.
