We've come to expect stand-out looks from Rita Ora. Having fully embraced naked dressing this season in a series of see-through dresses, she's also repped cut-outs, underboob-baring crop tops and even furry thigh-high leg warmers in July, no less.

Well, Rita's Venice Film Festival wardrobe is no different. Having served four (!!) looks on day one of the Italian film festival, Rita followed up the impressive feat with two further 'fits to attend and perform at the amfAR Gala Venezia 2023 on Sunday evening.

First up, Rita arrived at the event wearing a totally see-through black full-length gown complete with a lengthy train. Featuring a sculptural white fabric attachment on the right side of the dress, the sheer fabric was layered over a nude bodysuit that Rita had accented with a diamanté waist belt.

She added additional sparkle in the form of a necklace and rings, while black platform strappy sandals completed the look.

After posing on the red carpet in the daring ensemble, Rita proceeded to change her attire for her performance accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra. And it was her equally bold second 'fit that really caught our eye.

The white full-length gown featured an asymmetric nude panel cutting across Rita's torso and stretching to her hip to give the appearance of a huuuge cut-out. A nude bra could just be glimpsed beneath a caped overlay with a boxy, angular neckline that extended to Rita's bust. The overlay was finished with a high-neck embellished with beads and feathers.

Everyone's clicking on...

In a major throwback, Rita's second look of the evening had us reminiscing about Lady Gaga's *iconic* 'Applause' performance at the 2013 VMAs. Specifically, the white nun outfit the singer at one point wore on stage during the routine.

Rita's 'fit is no doubt a high-fashion take, but the extra wide, square cut of the overlay and the padded shoulders providing added height do look more than a little similar. Additionally, the embroidered neck details on Rita's gown reference the string of pearls Lady Gaga wore with her costume.

And that concludes today's pop culture throwback.
