Rita Ora gave new meaning to the phrase "hot girl summer" when she attended an album signing in London on the 14th of July. Wearing a brown leather jacket and jeans, the singer accessorised with a pair of *very* furry thigh-high leg warmers. Yes, really.

And two weeks later (bringing us right up to date) Roberto Cavalli shared a photo from the event on Instagram revealing Rita's look is from the designer's Autumn/Winter 2023-2024 collection. Rita shared the image on her own Instagram Stories and, well, we have some thoughts.

Sure, July has been somewhat disappointing with plenty of rain following June's endless blue skies and sunshine. But it's still July, and we've had almost daily temperatures in the late teens and early twenties. Far too hot to be wearing anything furry, if you ask us. Seriously, her legs must be melting.

Looking at the pic, it's not really obvious if the furry fabric is attached to the jeans, or pulled on over the top as a separate accessory entirely. And to be clear, we're not necessarily saying it's a bad 'fit from Rita. We're simply questioning the timing. Fur in July? It's a no from us.

And the furry leg warmers aren't the only controversial leg coverings Rita has worn lately. Spotted out and about in New York yesterday, Rita donned her current favourite white knee-high lace-up boots.

Resembling trainers from the ankle down, the fabric continues all the way up her legs to the knee with lace-up detailing at the front. Though luckily there are zips at the side for quick and easy removal. The heels are stamped with 'J'ADIOR' marking them clearly as a Dior design.

Everyone's clicking on...

On this occasion, she styled the lace-up trainer boot with a white button-front summer mini dress. We can't decide if it's giving more early '00s JLo or ABBA vibes.

Rita previously wore the footwear in an Instagram post last week, this time pairing them with an underboob-baring micro crochet bralette and pleated zip-front mini skirt.

Yep, there's no denying Rita loves a bold look and we admire how unafraid she is to take a fashion risk. Keep the lewks coming, we say!
