Here at Cosmo, we're on something of a Hailey Bieber style watch. Like Springwatch, but year-round and dedicated to the Rhode founder's best 'fits which happen pretty much daily. Whether photographed in a casual lewk out and about, pulling out all the stops for a red carpet event, or simply sharing mirror selfies at home, Hailey always serves chic and on-trend fashion inspo.
And it seems the secret to her style success centers around one item. A crop top. Layered under a leather jacket, paired with jeans, or worn with an equally micro mini skirt, Hailey has tried every combination. She's also debuted variations of the ab-baring garment, from slogan tees to bandeau tops and see-through designs. Yep, a crop top is the hardest-working item in Hailey's wardrobe.
And the wife of Justin Bieber debuted another cropped lewk yesterday on Instagram.
In a series of photos simply captioned "NY ✅", Hailey included a mirror selfie wearing a black short-sleeved top and straight-leg jeans in a light wash denim with a small rip on one leg. The top in question may just be Hailey's tiniest crop yet, finishing immediately beneath her bust. It's hardly longer than a bra.
Her black loafers with gold detailing were worn with socks and coordinated with her black leather belt with a gold buckle. She accessorised with a gold watch and YSSO's Kombos earrings.
Crop tops, simply defined as tops cut short, are a key staple to the Y2K trend that's been hugely popular this year. But by pairing the style with basics in modern silhouettes and neutral colourways (read: tailored trousers, straight-leg jeans, and blazers) and adding gold jewellery, Hailey gives it a fresh take that we love.

It's no wonder this has become her off-duty uniform. Over the weekend, she was spotted in New York rocking another crop top and jeans combo. This time, her white ribbed strappy top hit just at her belly button. She paired it with wide leg denim and a cream textured blazer, though wore the same black and gold loafers and gold earrings. Her dog held in her arms was an additional – and super cute – accessory.
