We love it when celebrities pay homage to each other's fashion, especially when they go so far as to recreate an iconic outfit - and that's exactly what Hailey Bieber's just done. Less than a week after the Rhode founder debuted her new bob haircut on Instagram, she's already gone and put her new look to use. Her muse? Gwyneth Paltrow, circa 2001.
This weekend, Hailey took to Instagram Stories to share a couple of selfies showing one of her latest outfits. In the pics, Hailey wears a pleated micro mini skirt (reminiscent of the Miu Miu style that was everywhere in 2022) teamed with an oatmeal jumper, and a white top teamed with an oversized slouchy coat. The final flourishes? Chunky black loafers and folded white socks layered over black tights.
Hailey then added a message on the photo, which read, "Margot Tenenbaum for the foreseeable future" - referencing Gwyneth's iconic character from Wes Anderson's 2001 film, The Royal Tenenbaums.
Hailey followed the full-length mirror pic with a car selfie offering fans a closer look at her minimalist beauty situation, including the blunt bob and a glossy lip.
Aaaand here's a pic of Gwyneth (AKA Margot) in the famous role:
While Hailey's coat isn't a furry style like Gwyneth's, this tribute feels more like a 2023 spin on the character's style. The only thing missing is a statement hairclip and a Hermes bag - both items we can totally imagine Hailey owning.
