This heatwave ain't playing around with temps in the UK soaring over the last few days. Whether you've replaced your S.O. with a fan or keep finding yourself poking your head in the fridge to stay cool, we're all resorting to different coping mechanisms. As for me? Well, I'm wearing the bare minimum, and it seems Rita Ora has a similar idea, although her outfits are a lot chicer than mine right now.
This week, Rita was spotted out and about in Soho. But rather than desperately retreating to the air con, the musician appears to be living her best life outdoors. "London In the summer in this heat is EVERYTHING I love it. Home sweet home baby 🇬🇧" writes the artist on Instagram. In the new snaps, Rita stands in one of the streets near Chinatown sporting a verrryy 2000s look (ICYMI, Y2K fashion is back in a big way right now). To start, she's sporting a white boho-style crop top, complete with a petal-shaped hem. The top is then teamed with a pair of mega low-rise wide-leg printed trousers (the kind you likely wore on family holidays as a tween) layered underneath a sheer netted skirt. As for shoes, Rita goes for a pair of heeled black flip-flops - giving us major summer vibes in the process.
Here's the look in full:
Eagle-eyed fans might actually recognise Rita's top, with the star sporting the exact same piece at Glastonbury last month. For the UK festival, the musician swapped the heeled sandals and baggy trousers for a motorcycle jacket and lashings of crystal jewellery:
Aaaaand, while we're on the topic of heatwave dressing, here's another look we hope Rita recreates soon:
Stay cool and drink lots of water today, folks!
