You could be forgiven for thinking that cutout dresses are the only celebrity-approved party trend to know this season because they're literally everywhere right now. But, despite the rise in negative space designs, the classic blazer dress is still holding steady as an evening mainstay - just ask Lily James.
For the Pam & Tommy actor's latest public appearance, at the Deadline Contenders Television event in Los Angeles, the stylish Brit went for a black Versace number that now lives rent-free in our heads. The design in question includes a plunging V-neck with padded shoulders, long sleeves and a mini hemline, making it a sleek spin on the LBD (AKA, little black dress).
On closer inspection, you can see the blazer dress also features snazzy gold chain detailing around the waist, along with a statement button featuring the Italian house's signature Medusa head. As for accessories, Lily teams the dress with a perfectly matched pair of black pumps, featuring the same hardware detailing across the toe. Then, to finish off the whole combo, she goes for a pair of mini hoop earrings alongside, you guessed it, more chains, this time in the form of sleek drop earrings.
We've got to give it to Lily, this outfit is verrrry consistent with the 'chain' theme. The 33-year-old also layered a series of dainty gold necklaces over each other, with one bearing the initial 'L' on a pendant.
Lily wears her long brunette hair in a centre part with soft waves finishing just below her shoulders. The look is completed with soft pink blush and rosey eyeshadow, along with a swipe of watermelon-hued lipstick.
