I've said it before and I'll say it again: cutout dresses are a major trend for 2022, with celebs currently digging the look even more than they did last year. From Kendall Jenner's controversial wedding guest look (and Dua Lipa's similar ensemble) to Lily James' incredible cut-out mini - the negative space detail is here to stay. Just ask Megan Thee Stallion, who opted for a very on-trend little black dress (or, LBD) for her birthday this week.
Celebrating her 27th trip around the sun, the artist took to Instagram to share an amazing photo dump of her day. From having breakfast in bed to going out for a glam dinner, it looks like Megan was living her best life (we'd love an invite to the shenanigans next year, btw), but it's her 'going out' 'fit we wanna talk about.
For the occasion, Megan opted for a sequin LBD with a funky strap situation creating a 'double halterneck' effect. But that's not all, the dress also features three major cutouts across the front - one on the bust and two on either side of the waist.
Now, for those of you with winter birthdays, you can also likely relate to Megan's accessory: a furry black jacket to keep her warm on the way to the party.
To bring the whole look together, the singer wears a glossy lip, smoky eye and long wavy strands going all the way down to her hips.
