Lady Gaga is famous for her love of bold fashion looks, making her a style icon for the ages. Over the years, she's worn some head-turning outfits (ranging from the divisive meat dress to her divine inauguration number), but the singer's love of avant-garde shoes deserves a mention of its own. Whether it's the famous armadillo heels or those 'Bad Romance'-era platforms, Gaga's shoe choices are always statements. And, for her latest appearance, she's out here rocking a pair of OTT shoes once more.
This week, Lady Gaga's serving some major throwback energy by stepping out in New York City, not once but TWICE, wearing a pair of her signature sky-high stiletto heels. Yep, while we're all still alternating between sliders and trainers, Gaga's strutting around in shoes that give me mild vertigo just looking at 'em.
Most recently, Gaga took to the streets wearing a red carpet-ready look, consisting of a ribbed LBD (AKA little black dress, for those playing at home), complete with gloriously extra feather sleeves, a black top handle bag, matching shades and possibly the highest pair of glossy black heels we've ever seen, designed by Pleaser Shoes. Check 'em out:
Oh. Em. Gee. Right?
Here's another snap of the 'fit from the front:
Such ease! And grace! How does Gaga make walking in these look like a piece of cake? I'm in awe.
Everyone's clicking on...
Days earlier, the singer walked around rocking a seemingly matte pair of the same shoes, with a longer hemline bustier dress and boxy black bag in hand.
Again, so casual and cool despite wearing shoes that kind of teriffy me.
For those keen to accept the challenge of wearing these heels, you can still actually nab a pair in the couple of sizes still available on Pleaser Shoes' website for £110:
If, however, you're like me and are still aspiring to perfecting the six inch heel walk, join me in campaigning for Gaga to teach a masterclass on how to walk in impossible shoes.
