ITV's newest drama guaranteed to take over our Sunday nights is Code of Silence, a gripping new series with a twist like no other. Inspired by series creator Catherine Moulton's own experience of hearing loss and lip reading, Code of Silence follows Alison Brooks, a Deaf worker at a police canteen who is spotted for her talent in lip reading and recruited by the police to be part of a large scale operation to try a take down a dangerous gang. Soon Alison finds herself in the middle of a dangerous new world, and just as the stakes are raised Alison finds herself being drawn to one of the key suspects.

The new series kicks off tonight on ITV1 and ITVx at 9pm, and it's stacked with an iconic cast and here's where you know them from.

Rose Ayling-Ellis as Alison Brooks

Who is Alison Brooks?: Alison is Deaf and works in a police canteen and has spent years observing secret conversations thanks to her talented lip reading skills. She's spotted by DS Ashleigh Francis and DI James Marsh who recruit her to work with them on a covert operation to take down a large criminal gang.

What else has Rose Alying-Ellis been in?: Rose's first main role which kicked off her career was in Eastenders as Frankie Lewis. She starred in the soap for two years before leaving in 2022. Since then she's starred in a number of stage productions, including her Olivier award nominated performance in As You Like It. She's recently starred in Doctor Who, BBC's Reunion and of course won Strictly Come Dancing in 2021.

Charlotte Ritchie as DS Ashleigh Francis

Who is DS Ashleigh Francis?: Ashleigh is a detective in the Kent and Canterbury police force. As well as having a stressful job she's also going through a divorce following her husband's affair and raising their two young children.

What else has Charlotte Ritchie been in?: Most recently you're likely to recognise Charlotte for her role as Kate in the last two seasons of Netflix's You. However, she's also starred in Fresh Meat, Siblings, Call The Midwife, Ghosts, and Grantchester. She's a busy woman!

Andrew Buchan as DI James Marsh

Who is DI James Marsh?: James Marsh is the detective in charge of heading up the case against the Redman family gang.

What else has Andrew Buchan been in?: We last saw Andrew on our screens in Netflix's Black Doves, where he starred as Wallace Webb, Keira Knightly's character's husband. You'll also know Andrew from his roles in Broadchurch, Industry, The Crown, COBRA, and The Fixer.

Kieron Moore as Liam Barlow

Who is Liam Barlow?: Liam is Alison's love interest in the series but also one of the main suspects in the gang case. Talk about a conflict of interest.

What else has Kieron Moore been in?: Kieron is best known for his role in the Peacock series Vampire Academy and for playing Sgt Clifford Starkey in Apple TV+'s Masters of The Air.

Nathan Armarkwei Laryea as DC Ben Lawford

Who is DC Ben Lawford?: Ben is another detective working closely with Ashleigh and James.

What else has Nathan Armarkwei Laryea been in?: Nathan is best known for his role as Valdo Marx in Netflix's The Witcher. He's also starred in an episode of Doctor Who.
