So far, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! South Africa contestants have faced blended bull's hearts, blood and apparently, questions about Simon Cowell's love life?
And if you're wondering how The X Factor judge's name popped up in the jungle... While the celebs probably aren't loving the new delicacies they're getting to taste alongside their sleeping arrangements in camp, one thing they can agree on preferring compared to their lives on the outside world is the lack of phones.
In tonight's episode we're set to see, TOWIE star Gemma Collins voice how much she is loving being disconnected from the outside - and online - world, referencing Simon Cowell and reports he doesn't own a smartphone.
Fellow campmate and Olympic world medallist Mo Farah then asked musician Sinitta if it's true Simon doesn't have a phone - Simon and Sinitta having a long standing history working together, as friends, but also romantic interests.
Gemma joked: “Sinitta tries to call him and she’s got to go through two PAs, housekeepers just to get a message to him.” Before she then quizzed Sinitta more about her relationship to Simon and whether they used to date, the 62-year-old singer confirming they did 'on and off for 40 years'.
But what is the history between Simon and Sinitta? And what's their relationship now?
When did Simon and Sinitta meet?
In an interview with The Times in 2024, Sinitta recalled first meeting Simon when she was 14 years old because he and his brother were dating her friends.
The pair's families were also close, often holidaying together in Mallorca, Sinitta adding they "always" went away together at Christmas.
Sinitta ended up signed to Simon's record label in 1983 and went on to release hits such as 'So Macho,' 'Toy Boy' and 'Cross My Broken Heart'.
And she even went on to date Simon, but what actually happened between the pair?
What happened with Simon and Sinitta' relationship?
Well, Simon and Sinitta ended up embarking on an incredibly on-off relationship.
During an interview with The Mirror's New! magazine, Sinitta reflected there was "always an element of" the relationship "never being over" despite both of them dating other people across the decades they knew one another.
In 2002 Sinitta even got married, however, during an appearance on Best's Suddenly Single podcast, she revealed: "The man that I married was actually a lovely person. It was a bit of a revenge move at the time, but it developed into something. But even during that relationship, it was obvious that there was unfinished business [with Simon]."
She continued: "It would be, 'Well, if he's done that, then I'll date Brad Pitt, I'll date this model.' But always intentionally thinking we will be together when we stop being crazy.
"Because I would have been ready to go at any time, but it was like my pride needed me to go and have a retaliation relationship to show I'm not desperate."
It was only in 2014 when "that was it" for the pair's romance.
When did they end their relationship?
In 2014, Simon welcomed a son, Eric, with fiancée Lauren Silverman. And it was Eric's arrival which saw any romantic relationship between Sinitta and Simon finally laid to rest.
"I would never come between his family," Sinitta told New!
But despite their romance being over, have the pair managed to retain their friendship after knowing each another for around an impressive 40 years?
Do Simon and Sinitta still talk?
Thankfully, despite experiencing such an on-off romantic relationship, the pair are very much "on" as friends.
Sinitta told The Times the pair have continued their families' traditions of going away on holiday together over Christmas, often going to Barbados with all their kids in tow.
She added: "We may be exes, but we’re more like siblings and are godparents to each other’s children."
Maybe exes can be friends after all eh?
