Celebrity MasterChef is well and truly back, and we're ready to watch a new cohort of celebs go head-to-head in the kitchen.
Obviously, we recognise some of the cast, but we have to admit that the more clued up we are on the competitors, the more invested we are in the show as a whole. That's why we're combing over the backstories of all these familiar faces.
Next up: Chris Hughes.
We're not sure 32-year-old TV personality Chris needs too much reintroducing after his turn on Celebrity Big Brother this summer.
The former Love Island contestant reached the finale of the dating show's third season in 2017 with Olivia Atwood, and then took CBB 2025 by storm thanks to his highly publicised romance with 22-year-old musician JoJo Siwa.
So, how is his relationship with JoJo going? And what are some of the relationships milestones you may have missed?

Are JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes still together?
Jojo Siwa and Chris Hughes do, indeed, seem to still be together.
Not only were they photographed together at the Dancers Against Cancer's 2025 Gala Of The Stars in LA on 21 October (the couple's first red carpet together), they have also been continue to share loved-up social media content together.
On 21 November, JoJo shared loved-up pictures of her and Chris wearing matching Christmas jumpers and went into detail about her festive plans, noting that she would be travelling to England for Christmas (presumably doing so to spend the holiday with Christ's family.
All things considered, it seems like JoJo and Chris are deffo going strong!

Now that we know how Chris and JoJo's relationship is currently going, let's get stuck into their full relationship timeline.
7 - 25 April 2025: Meeting on Celebrity Big Brother UK
Chris and JoJo both enter the Celebrity Big Brother UK house for the show's 24th season.
The show ran from 7th April to 25th April 2025 and Chris and JoJo stuck it out for the full 19 days of the show, giving them time to get to know one another.
At the time, Chris was single and JoJo was in a relationship with the Australian DJ, presenter, actor and content creator Kath Ebbs (who uses they/them pronouns).
Chris and JoJo hit it off pretty immediately on the show, especially as Chris proved himself to be an ally. At the beginning of the show, JoJo identified as a lesbian, and was confronted by homophobic comments from fellow contestant Mickey Rourke. Chris called Mickey out and a strong bond between Chris and JoJo blossomed from there.
During the show, Chris and JoJo were accused by viewers of flirty behaviour, leading to speculation that they had feelings for one another.
Elsewhere on the show, JoJo opened up about her evolving view of her sexuality. Speaking to Danny Beard, she suggested she identified as queer (a more open-ended term for non-straight sexuality and/or non-cis gender) rather than a lesbian.
"I feel, like, so queer, do you know what I mean? I think that’s the thing," she said. "I’ve always told myself I’m a lesbian, and I think being here I’ve realized: ‘Oh, I’m not a lesbian, I’m queer.’ And I think that’s really cool."
26 April 2025: Kath Ebbs announces breakup with JoJo Siwa
On 26 April 2025, Kath (JoJo's partner upon entering the CBB house) shared that JoJo had broken up with them.
In an 13-minute video posted to social media, Kath alleged that JoJo had broken up with them at the show's wrap party, saying: "But before I could even get back to the hotel I… it’s actually crazy… I went to the afterparty with my now ex and was dumped in the party."
JoJo denied that the breakup was motivated by Chris.
28 April 2025: Chris and JoJo appear on The Today Show
On 28 April 2025, Chris and JoJo appeared on The Today Show and spoke about their friendship, maintaining that it was just platonic.
JoJo said: "Look, he’s a great guy. It is platonic, we have a lot of fun together. Life is life, and I don’t know any future of anything. But, I’m really grateful for our dynamic that we have in our bond that we have, and whatever life does, life will do.”
Chris said: "It’s not like the standard friendship that you have with your friends, but it’s, you know, it’s still a friendship. Having someone in there to go through an experience like that ... when you’re emotional, when you’re down, when you’re happy, that was beautiful."
19 May 2025: Chris celebrates JoJo's 22nd birthday with her
On 21st May 2025, JoJo shared a selection of images to mark her 22nd birthday two days prior. In them, Chris is clearly present and the two are seen snuggling.
The caption read: "This years birthday week was more magical than anything🤍🪄. Full of surprises, family time, performing, chilling, laughing, loving, smiling, and good meaningful cries. Absolutely beautiful, wouldn’t change a single thing🤍 a week I’ll remember for the rest of my life."
On 20th May 2025, Chris shared a photo dump featuring multiple pictures of JoJo and the caption: "The previous 7 days have been the prettiest.. 😊💫🎂".
JoJo commented: "& happiest:). Heart is overflowing"
These social media exchanges and the fact Chris helped celebrate JoJo's birthday accelerated the relationship rumours.
2 June 2025: JoJo confirms romantic relationship with Chris
JoJo and Chris continued to post one another on social media, with Chris even sharing IG Stories of him hanging out with JoJo's parents.
On 1st June, Chris shared a photo on his social media of himself shirtless in bed and kissing JoJo on the forehead.
On 2nd June, JoJo confirmed her relationship with Chris in an interview with The Guardian: "It’s not platonic anymore, and it’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I’m absolutely head over heels for him and he’s the same way."
5 June 2025: It's reported that JoJo has met and "charmed" Chris's parents
On 5th June 2025, reports began to emerge that JoJo had met Chris's parents after the duo were photographed in the Cotswolds the day prior.
According to the Daily Mail, a source said; "Meeting the parents is a big step, but she charmed everyone. Looks like JoJo has traded in her bows for a bit of British countryside bliss!"
12 July 2025: Chris reveals he'd like to marry JoJo
on 12th July 2025, The Sun's Fabulous Magazine published an interview with Chris where he shared he would like to marry JoJo.
“I’d love to marry her,"he said. "I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you I run through scenarios of our wedding day."
He also said that he and JoJo "both want kids."
Additionally, Chris defended JoJo over claims she had become 'straight' which began circulating online.
Using JoJo's birth name, Chris said: "Joelle has been with girls all her life. She is bisexual. She’s not now straight just because she’s with me."
