Step aside, Victoria Beckham, because there's a new era of WAGs on their way, featuring none other than Maya Jama. The Love Island presenter and all round cool girl just responded to rumours she's dating Man City footballer Rúben Dias, and fans are going wild.
Last year, OK! magazine reported Maya and Rúben were dating, after they were spotted at the Sa Capella restaurant in Ibiza. It's thought that they met at the MTV European Music Awards on the 10th November, and had been quietly messaging ever since.
The 27-year-old footballer then added fuel to the fire when he shared a carousel of images on Instagram to celebrate the new year. "Happy new year everyone and happy 30th to the one & only @ivandias03 ❤️ “Lo que viene…vai…”" he wrote in the caption.
The pictures showed him hanging out with friends, in a club and taking mirror selfies, but there was one particular photograph that fans were interested in - Rúben standing next to a woman in a black hoodie with his arm around her.
Plenty of fans took to the comments to suspect the woman in question was 30-year-old Maya - and now, the presenter has taken to X to address the dating speculation herself.
In the post in question, an X user shared a post which read "Rúben Dias makes his relationship with Maya Jama public" and added their own comments: "SHE DON'T REST. WOMEN THAT CAN JUMP FROM RELATIONSHIP TO RELATIONSHIP ARE SCARY MAYN [sic]."
Maya quote-tweeted the post, and added, "Oh... but ..." with a shrugging emoji. We're taking this as confirmation that they're dating, but also confirmation that she doesn't give a s*** what people on the internet think. Yes, Maya!
Maya previously dated rapper Stormzy (real name: Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr) between 2014 and 2019, before she was in a relationship with basketball player Ben Simmons. The pair broke off their engagement in August 2022, and Maya later rekindled things with Stormzy, before they announced their split again in July 2024.
