We knew that Amelia Dimoldenberg's Chicken Shop Date with Andrew Garfield would be amazing since, well....the moment it was announced!
See, Amelia and Andrew go waaaay back with two iconic, viral red carpet interactions already under their belts: a flirty exchange at British GQ’s Man of the Year Awards in November 2022 and an interview at the 2023 Golden Globes which saw Andrew repeatedly crack up uncontrollably at Amelia's questions.
So when we were told that Andrew would be joining Amelia on Chicken Shop Date on 18 October, are expectations were preeeety high — and they did not disappoint.
Setting the tone, Amelia dressed to impress with a seriously plunging pale pink Philosophy shirt worn without a bra and with a lime green wrap skirt and pink Jimmy Choos.
Beginning the conversation, Andrew addressed the elephant in the room — the duo's very well evidenced chemistry — by mentioning that they had come face-to-face for "a couple of lovely encounters" that had been "vibey".
To this, Amelia quickly responded that "it's been vibey to the point that you've been avoiding me for two years because the vibes have been too much for you to handle". Touché!
As well as addressing their "two meet cutes", Amelia and Andrew flirtatiously cycled through a range of important questions and topics: from whether they tend to kiss on the first date, to Amelia's feelings about turning 30 and whether they want to get married or have kids.
And the chemistry, throughout, was off the charts! "I think that's sexy, it's really hot," Andrew even said at one point (*swoon*!), commenting on Amelia's confession that she tends to make the first move when asking people out.
With the conversation and laughter flowing so effortlessly, Andrew even floated the idea of them both going on a date IRL.
“This is fucked up — the fact that we could have actually gone on a date at some point, maybe,” Andrew said. “Take out all the practicalities and the logic, I actually believe maybe we could have [gone on a date] without all of this."
Sadly, however, Amelia suggested that the two should be "just friends" but left things open, noting that Andrew did have her number if he wanted to explore things further — prompting him say "I think we should do it again, actually, but better".
Understandably, the video has racked up over 3.8 million views since debuting on Friday and the comments section is wiiiiiild!
