Fans of The Traitors, get excited. The series has officially been confirmed for a third season, with season two officially taking over our lives for the month of January 2024. The first season of The Traitors first dropped on the BBC in November 2022, and instantly become a firm fan favourite, with an audience of 21 million.
The show sees a group of 22 contestants move into a large country house together and three of them are chosen by host Claudia Winkleman to be the 'traitors' of the group.
They are tasked with 'killing off' the rest of the group known as the 'faithfuls' one by one without the rest of the group suspecting them. The traitors and faithfuls work against each other in the hope of walking away with a casual £120,000.
After the success of season one, the series was renewed a second time, with the follow up series airing weekly from 3rd January and is now back for a third series airing in 2025.

Get ready guys as we don't have long to wait. The BBC has just confirmed the first episode of The Traitors season three will air on BBC One and iPlayer on 1st January 2025 at 8pm.
The first two episodes will air at 8pm with all other episodes airing at the later time of 9pm.

Back on the 3rd November 2023, before season two of The Traitors aired, the BBC confirmed a third series would officially be happening.
Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC, said: "The massive unscripted hit The Traitors will be back for a third series. Expect to see more psychological gameplay, exciting challenges and of course Claudia at the helm.
"It will be a thrilling ride for both avid fans and newcomers to the series for sure. The BBC will always remain faithful to The Traitors."

Who will host The Traitors season 3?
The first two series of The Traitors have been hosted by the iconic Claudia Winkleman and it appears Claudia is also set to return for series three. It genuinely wouldn't be the same without her, would it?
The BBC's statement seemed to confirm Claudia would be returning, as they said: "Expect to see more psychological gameplay, exciting challenges and of course Claudia at the helm" when talking about what viewers can expect for another season.
