It's officially summer which means one thing: Love Island is back on our screens six days a week and once more causing havoc on the TL. This year, the new season has already stirred up its fair share of drama, relatable memes and even 200 Ofcom complaints. Heck, the producers spiced up the show from the get-go thanks to a new twist: getting the public to vote for who islanders should couple up with on the first episode. So yeah...things have been a *lot*.

Over the past few days, the intrigue has revolved around islanders Davide and bombshell Ekin-Su. Currently coupled up, there has been drama around these two after Ekin-Su was discovered to be secretly flirting with recent addition Jay Younger, meeting him on the terrace for a kiss.

While, outside of the villa, Davide's team has been commenting on the developing situation on his Instagram account, even having to publicly apologise for "slut-shaming" comments towards Ekin-Su, Friday night was the first time that the couple fully confronted the tension face-to-face.

What followed was an intense argument, with Davide labelling Ekin-Su "fake" and a "liar". Clearly, it seems like their romance has come to an end, leaving Ekin-Su free to explore her feelings with Jay. But before any happy endings come within reach, the duo had to weather an uncomfortable and downright awkward moment.

Deciding that they would not share their bed for the evening, Davide opted to sleep in the lounge: but fans couldn't get over the fact that he stripped their bed of blankets and pillows, leaving Ekin-Su with little to sleep on. Yikes!
