Jade Thirlwall appears to have thrown shade at ex Little Mix bandmate Jesy Nelson during a recent TV appearance.

Jesy first announced she was leaving Little Mix back in December 2020, with the remaining three band members confirming that they were taking a break a year later in December 2021. Following her departure, Jesy went on to provide an update on her relationship with her former bandmates, revealing in October 2021 that she and the group were "not talking any more."

Now, Jade seems to have referenced the whole situation in her latest joke, and viewers think she may be throwing shade at Jesy with her comments.

Appearing as a guest judge and mentor on RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs The World this week, Jade came on board to help contestants to record their individual verses ahead of Tuesday night's group performance.

The singer was then asked by host RuPaul, "How did recording with the queens compare to recording with Little Mix?"

Jade responded, joking, "Oh it’s just the same really. I bossed everyone around and there’s an ugly rumour going around that one of the girls is leaving the group tonight."

RuPaul and fellow judge Michelle Visage had *quite* the reaction to Jade's response, both gasping in shock as RuPaul laughed.

While Jade's comments didn't directly refer to Jesy by name, viewers reckon her reaction was a not-so-subtle nod towards Jesy's departure from Little Mix.

One viewer tweeted, "the shade towards Jesy from Jade on Drag Race tonight 😭😭." Meanwhile, another added, "Jade shading Jesy, best part of Drag Race so far."

Still, it sounds like Jade's comments were very much made as a joke, so we're hoping there are no hard feelings.
