With the Love Island final just one day away (sad face), the couples will no doubt be thinking about what they'll do when they leave the villa. Luckily for one couple, it seems that plan has already been made for them, with Millie's mum inviting Liam to move in rent-free after the show.

ICYMI, Millie (who lives in Essex) and Liam (who lives in Wales) have been coupled up for a few weeks, and despite that Casa Amor hiccup they revealed they'd fallen in love with each other on Thursday's episode.

But, speaking to The Sun, Millie's mum Esme admitted the couple might struggle with the realities of a long distance relationship.

"Long distance relationships can be hard," Esme said, before adding that Liam is welcome to move into Millie's family home to help make the relationship work.

"He can move into my house and not have to pay rent," she said, "I really like him. I’m a good judge of character and I think he is a really nice guy and I think he is genuine. From what I’ve seen of him, he seems like a really sweet boy."

Since Millie and Liam coupled up, fans of the show have compared the couple to TV icons Gavin and Stacey, who are also from Wales and Essex.

"If Gavin & Stacey can make it work, so can Millie & Liam," tweeted one fan, with another adding "Millie & Liam are basically just Gavin & Stacey reversed lmao." A third commented "Liam & Millie the real life Gavin & Stacey," while a fourth viewer tweeted "Millie from Essex & Liam from Wales wondering if the distance will work. Have they never seen Gavin & Stacey. Spin off series incoming."

With the Islander's friends and family heading into the villa to meet their partners in tonight's (August 22) episode, perhaps we'll see Millie's mum give Liam a key to their home...

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
