Love Island's Aaron Francis says Hugo and Amy aren't a good match

Love Island's Aaron Francis has revealed he doesn't think Amy Day and Hugo Hammond are a good match, before explaining what really happened with Lucinda Stratford.

In a new episode of Cosmopolitan UK's Text On The Beach, the dumped Islander touched on everything from Toby Aromolaran and Chloe Burrows to Liam Reardon's Casa Amor antics, while also casting a shadow of doubt over Hugo's relationship.

Asked about whether Hugo and Amy are a good match, Aaron said, "If I’m completely honest, no [they’re not]. She’s not his type - he likes petite little cute blondes. I think it kind of showed when he kissed the girl and said ‘Job done’, he wasn’t exactly in the moment, was he. Who thinks ‘job done’? I was like ‘that’s shocking’.”

The 24-year-old then set the record straight about what happened with Lucinda Stratford, who he was dumped from the show in a couple with. "We were coupled up for about three days. We obviously got on very well - we were chilled," he began.

"But at the end of the day we got on the best out of everyone in there, we never actually spoke about what we’d do after the show, or how we’d progress our ‘relationship’. It was such early days. I was still getting to know her surname. When we came out we were like ‘Are we fully in this? Are we not?’ We weren’t. So what can you do?”

Since leaving the villa, Lucinda has been spotted out with Brad McClellard, who she was coupled up with earlier on in the series. "I think they’re going to try and date and see if it’s a thing. I don’t know if they’ll end up together," Aaron commented.

Guess we'll have to wait and see, eh?
