Laura Whitmore has responded to criticism from Love Island viewers who say she's been absent from the current series, reminding them that she has been presenting Aftersun and joking, "Think you'd enjoy it if you watched!"

The exchange went down on Twitter after a few people began asking why the Love Island host hasn't been present in the villa for several of the recent dumpings, and one fan then tweeted Laura directly speculating that she had only entered the villa once since the start of the series and asking why.

Reminding us exactly why we love her, Laura swiftly shut down the criticism and reminded the viewer that she also presents Aftersun, which is filmed in London meaning that she cannot always be in Mallorca where the series is filmed.

Among several other tweets from fans asking the same question one account tagged Laura just to make sure she saw it. The tweet read, "When is @thewhitmore going back into the villa? She’s literally been in once #LoveIsland."

In response Laura wrote, "Hosting live show from London weekly, think you’d enjoy it if you watched! I’ve got great roaming package for the aul spanish texts at the mo."
