About as 2020 as it gets, we were baffled by the chaotic news that Scott Disick had slid into Megan Barton Hanson's DMs... Only to rebuke her for her apparent treatment of Eyal Booker in the 2018 series of Love Island. Yep, we'd be disappointed too.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 37, sent Megan a private message saying that he'd recently watched Love Island and had a few questions for her about it. Megan gamely replied, "Hey you... what do you wanna know?' In response, Scott launched into a lengthy telling-off, accusing Megan of "mugging" Eyal off.
"I was recently introduced to a beautiful man named Eyal. When I went to see what he's done on TV I was astonished by your behaviour. To find you mugging him off and taking full advantage of his unbelievably beautiful sense of humour and vulnerability. I'm extremely disturbed that anybody could be so disrespectful to somebody for no good reason. I would like to know if you'd be willing to write him an apology."
The "mugging" off in question took place on Love Island 2018, when Megan broke things off with Eyal as they weren't compatible, nor were they having as much fun as their fellow couples in the villa. Seems fair enough right? It seems Megan was as confused by the message as you'd expect, posting a screenshot to her Instagram Stories with the caption, "It's not often I'm left speechless but... sorry?! What have I just read? Genuinely a little concerned about Scott tho."
Luckily, Megan also saw the funny side, resharing two memes poking fun at the messy situation. She shared a tweet to her Instagram Stories which read "When you thought you were gonna be Mason's (Scott's 10-year-old son with Kourtney Kardashian) step mum But really Scott wanted a written apology (sic)", alongside two photos of Megan during her time on Love Island. Megan captioned the story: "Deceased."
Megan also reposted a meme originally shared by Instagram account @loveofhuns, of a still from comedy series Ja'mie: Private School Girl with the caption, "I am so random, I can't believe I just did that."
Yep, definitely one of the weirdest pop culture moments from 2020.
