Perrie Edwards has had to pull out of a Little Mix performance in Brazil because she's too unwell to travel.

The singer broke the news to fans over Twitter where she said she was "heartbroken" over having to miss the show.

"Hey everyone, I’m so sorry to announce that I am unable to travel and perform in Brazil with the rest of the girls on Sunday due to being unwell," she wrote.

"To all the fans that are attending the show, I’m heartbroken I can’t be there with you, but I know the girls will absolutely smash their performance and give you everything in my absence. Lots of love Perrie x"

The group are set to perform at the São Paulo GRLS! Festival alongside Kylie Minogue this weekend, before making a return to the UK to complete a series of gigs up and down the country.

Earlier this year, the band confirmed rumours that they're launching their own talent show to rival the likes of The Voice and X Factor, where the girls first found fame after being put together in a group by Simon Cowell.

Little Mix: The Search, which will air on BBC One later in this year, will see singers being put into groups which will be a variety of all-female, all-male and mixed bands. Contestants will be mentored by the Little Mix members and the winning group will join the band on their next tour.

Bandmate Jesy Nelson revealed on the NTA red carpet earlier this year that the girls have already begun filming for the show and revealed to Digital Spy that the show will offer a "different vibe" to what viewers are used to. Interesting...

In the meantime, let's hope Perrie gets better soon!
