Miley Cyrus and Brody Jenner appear to be feuding after he cracked a joke about “holding hands” with Liam Hemsworth just one day after the singer was pictured kissing his ex-wife.
ICYMI, Miley and Liam – AKA the only couple who made us believe in soulmates – have officially parted ways seven months after they tied the knot in a secret ceremony at her Tennessee mansion.
News of their split was released on the same day candid images of Miley kissing Kaitlynn Carter in Lake Como were published by Entertainment Tonight. Brody has since taken to Instagram to share a cryptic post about moving on from his ex.
“Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today," he wrote, before hitting his own comment section to add: “Watch out! Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon."
Miley clearly didn’t see the funny side of the situation and clapped back: “Go take a nap in your truck and cool off #HotGirlSummer."
This comes after a rep for the singer released a statement to People, saying: “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time.
"Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.
They added: “They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
Liam hasn’t made any public comments about their separation, with Miley taking to social-media to pen a broad statement about change being "inevitable.”
