Ask any Love Island fan five weeks ago if they thought Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins would end the show coupled up together, and they would have laughed in your face. But after eight weeks in the villa - and 53 episodes! - the pair shared their final date during last night's episode [25 July].

In a romantic setting, the pair had dinner while a harpist played behind them, as they discussed the future of their relationship and what they want to do when they get out of the villa. "I know I don't tell you a lot of the time that I like you, but I really do," Maura tells Curtis. "Even when you've gone to the toilet, I'm like, 'Where's Curtis?' You're funny, I love your smile by the way. For some reason when you smile, I smile."

Curtis responded, "I literally don't know what to say. You've caught me off guard. I am a very lucky man."

Love Island fans couldn't help but find similarities between the date and one Curtis shared with Amy during episode 19, on June 21st. Both Maura and Amy wore red dresses, both Maura and Amy were talking about their feelings, both Maura and Amy slow danced with Curtis..

"Omg Curtis and Maura's date was exactly the same as his and Amy's. Does he do this with every girl??? #LoveIsland," one viewer wrote, while another added, "Swear Maura and Curtis’s date was just a remake of Amy and Curtis’s #LoveIsland"

A third commented, "#LoveIsland getting déjà vu watching this...Curtis danced with Amy on their date and now he’s dancing with Maura."
