We’re already at the end of week 6 of this year’s Love Island, and we’ve noticed one thing missing from the 2019 series.

There’s been barely any sign of the Islanders doing bits. Yeah, there have been the odd lumpy duvets and grainy grey faces. But definitely no full on sex scenes.

But, according to an insider, the gang have been getting down and dirty – ITV has just chosen not to show it as a sign of respect for this year’s contestants.

A source told The Sun: “There's a few couples having sex in the villa but it hasn't been shown on TV - bosses are worried about upsetting them and fear ruining their lives.

“Most of them have said they're not comfortable with their sex scenes being broadcast and bosses have taken it all into account - many go on to regret having sex on camera because of how they're viewed by the public and their employers.”

The source added: “ITV bosses are being extra cautious after suicides and it's easier to not show the sex - if it happens it's alluded to in the commentary by Iain Stirling rather than explicitly shown - chances are we might never see anyone have sex on Love Island again.”

Last night’s episode saw Molly-Mae and Tommy head to the Hideaway. But there ended up being zero shots of any funny business.

To be honest, we really don’t mind the lack of sex being shown. But if you’re in the market for something a little saucy, there’s always the internet?
