Love Island has had the nation on the edge of their seats this week what with a shocking turn of events. Michael ditched Amber in favour of new Casa Amor girl Joanna, and Anna also decided to switched things up by coupling up with Ovie, rather than staying loyal to Jordan.

Love Island fans have been busy arguing over whether what Anna did to Jordan was the same as what Michael did to Amber. Meanwhile, Anna's family have hit back at the criticism of her.

Now, they're not the only ones who have defended Anna as Caroline Flack has taken to Twitter to respond to criticism.

When Strictly Come Dancing's James Jordan decided to Tweet "Anna is one nasty piece of work. At least the mean girls don’t have so much power in the villa anymore. It’s called karma baby! It is what it is", Caroline replied "She’s not nasty x".

James responded to Caroline's tweet saying "That’s how she comes across babe", but Caroline wasn't done there. "It’s an extreme statement .. for her to come out and see ... were better than that x," she replied.

"But I also remember the way she was also nasty to Danny..... only commenting on what I see. I’m not that keen, sorry xxx," replied James.

Caroline finished off the back and forth Twitter chain with: "I like to protect my islanders ..".
