Love Island spin-off show Aftersun staged a reunion between former love rivals Arabella Chi and Yewande Biala last night (June 30), but it seems not every moment made it to screen.
Arabella and Yewande found themselves at odds in the villa as both shared a connection with Danny Williams, but after Danny decided to couple up with Arabella and sent Yewande home in the process, the situation caused enough hurt in the villa that it wasn't long before Arabella was being sent home too.
But it looks like there are no ill feelings as 28-year-old model Arabella told Digital Spy that she and Yewande had a "really nice" catch-up away from prying eyes.
"The issue was never between Yewande and I, it was always between Danny and us," Arabella explained. "We didn't have chance to build a friendship, but there's no hard feelings between us."
She continued: "I felt like there was quite a lot of pressure on us on-camera. I was like, 'Why are people making this into a thing? There's no hard feelings between us!'"
"But our mums met, which was really, really nice... And then Yewande and I had a really nice chat and kind of put it to bed and hugged it out. It was really, really nice to just be like 'Okay, it's all good now!'"
The dumped Islander also described the first 24 hours after she was voted out, calling them "really, really difficult" as the programme's day delay meant she had to go into lockdown to avoid the public finding out the results.
"None of your family know that you're out and you feel really alone," she explained. "Obviously, I had Tom [Walker] and it was really nice to have his support but I felt like it was really hard because I'd left Danny in there."
"If we'd have left together, it would've been, in a weird way, okay because I would've gone, 'Well, you know what, I've got what I want and now we're just moving to the next chapter together'.
"But because he was in there and I was out, it was horrible."
