This is what Love Island’s Maura Higgins looked like before entering the villa

ICYMI, Maura Higgins has shaken up this series of Love Island more than a barman mixing an elaborate drink.

The grid girl has made it clear that she isn’t here to make friends, having set her sights on Tommy despite his previous interest in Molly Mae. Now that we’re pretty sure she’s going to be a major name in the series, what do we know about her life from before the ITV2 show?

After some digging, fans have unearthed several old pictures of the Islander from back in 2012, when she was just 21-years-old. And aside from a change in make-up, thicker brows, and slightly fuller lips, she doesn’t look *majorly* different.

Prior to entering the villa, Maura confirmed that she’s in the show to find someone she can have a real connection with in the outside world and isn’t afraid of stepping on a few toes to get what she wants.

At the time, she said: “I’d go extreme. It can obviously be hard because you could be really close with one of the girls but you’re in there to find love at the end of the day.'

Following last night’s episode, fans were divided about how ballsy she was in her pursuit of Tommy: “Maura gives no f**ks at all lool, wearing molly’s jacket while chatting to her man?”
