The Kardashian-Jenner clan are known for always keeping it kandid candid, and eldest sibling Kourtney Kardashian Barker is no exception. Taking to social media just days after she and husband Travis Barker publicly shared the first photo of their newborn son Rocky Thirteen, Kourt discussed the importance of being "kind to yourself" postpartum.
Kourtney, 44, shared a caption with her thoughts along with a clip of her walking on a treadmill to her Instagram Story on 23 December, 2023. "doing the most important job in the world...being a mommy. keeping my baby alive, on-demand breastfeeding means keeping calories high with lots of nourishing foods."
Continuing, the new mum-of-four spoke out about her current fitness routine. "taking time to slowly ease back into some uphill walks on the treadmill when I can sneak them in, along with my walks outside in the stroller," she said.
Finalising her message, the health and fitness mogul also added to "be kind to yourself." It's a statement that stresses the importance of opening up and normalising any struggles to adjust post-birth. Pressures, impressed both personally and by wide society, are something that can easily impact everyone – famous or not – so, we all need to remember to be a little kinder to ourselves!
Following her initial Story, Kourtney followed up with a quote that reads: "Romanticize your life, take pretty pictures, feel like the main character, light up a candle, read books, go for a walk, dance to your favourite music, buy yourself presents, do whatever you want, be happy - this is your life, don't let anyone take it from you."
And with that in mind, we wish nothing but health and happiness for the new family of nine!
