If you've been in search of a manicure that's equal parts chic, flattering and low-maintenance, you've come to the right place because Cat Deeley, ITV presenter-turned-mani mogul, has just delivered us the trend of the summer. Say it with me now, friends: thank you, Cat.

Doomscrolling Pinterest nail art can be laborious. Fun for the first five minutes, sure. But laborious when you realise that five hours have flittered by, and you've still not yet settled on a design. But for summer 2026, we're paring it all back – the Pinterest search and your tips – with milky rosé nails.

As its name would suggest, this is a set defined by a chalky wash of pale pink, resulting in an ultra-clean, freshly washed look that goes with every single outfit. Of course, the overall design can be tailored to individual taste with ombré, gemstones, dainty nail art or decals, but at its core, the neutral milky rosé base works for all occasions. I'm talking office attire, wedding guest 'fits, World Cup pub trips etcetera, etcetera.

And the best part? Because of its neutral colour, it's super forgiving on grow-out! Can't book an infill for another three weeks? No sweat.

Now, as much as we'd love to hail Cat as the milky rosé pioneer, this is a classic look in the mani world, arguably made popular by OPI's shade Bubble Bath, which debuted in the early 2000s. The clean girl aesthetic has, however, risen in recent years, making a perfect case for the neutral nails comeback. And this summer, thanks to Cat's recent nod – as well as Victoria Beckham's (see below) – it's the milky rosé interpretation taking the cake.
