Everyone and their mother is now jumping onto the classic bob haircut. From myself – a longtime bob'er, may I boast – to my boss (and HBIC Beauty Director), Keeks Reid, and even Dusty Baxter-Wright, our Entertainment and Lifestyle Director, the short style is inundating the Cosmo UK office... everywhere I look, bob! But that goes beyond our Leicester Square HQ with celebrities from all over the globe rocking the cut, too. And today, we've welcomed a hair legend into the brigade; it's none other than Miss Kelly Rowland! I mean, if anyone knows how to rock the cut, it's a Destiny's Child alum.
Over the weekend, Kelly, alongside her longtime friend, Beyoncé attended a campaign rally with U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris. At the event, Kelly stepped out with a new super short hair look – aka, a teeny tiny micro bob. The cut sits razor sharp at chin-length and has been topped with a sleek, glossy style.
In hairstyling terms, this cut is a prime example of just how short a bob can get before verging into the pixie territory. An inch shorter and it may have been categorised as a crop.
It's giving 'I own 51 per cent of this company' and we're obsessed.
Now, as chic as the cut is, this isn't the first time we've seen Kelly sport a short 'do. Back when Destiny's Child were first starting out, the singer's signature look came hand in hand with a pixie haircut.
