Maya Jama is undeniably our beauty muse. From glam Love Island makeup looks to her trademark glossy raven tresses, the reality TV show host knows how to serve... and serve well. But today, she's only gone and switched up the latter with a transformation that had us doing a double take.

While not quite unrecognisable (I mean, we could spot the model-like mogul three Instagram posts away), Maya's new hairstyle is one to note. *Mentally adds to our metaphorical transformative hairspo files.*

Following in Rihanna, Nina Dobrev and JLo's footsteps, Maya has only gone and had a full, choppy fringe cut into her extra long locks. She first debuted her new look last night on Love Island Aftersun and has now shared more snaps on the 'Gram. Swipe through the 10-part carousel post below to see her 'do in all it's bang[ing] (soz) glory:

The universally flattering, face-framing cut is of a lash-skimming length, making for an effortless, grown-out look. And as for her signature hip-skimming waves, they have been untouched by the scissors and instead, styled with a loose mermaid finish.

Fiyah, as always.

Now, having said all that, it's important to note that with celebrity transformations alike, there's always a possibility of the look being a wig or clip-in extension piece. After all, with such busy schedules, shoots, TV appearances and promotional campaigns, one (read: an A-list celeb) is unlikely to commit to such a dramatic change.

But nevertheless, we can still hope. I guess only time (and keeping a beady eye on Maya's IG page) will tell.
