Last month, despite previously saying that she'd ~never~ go blonde again because of the damage it caused her hair in the past, Kourtney Kardashian took the plunge and bleached her locks.

And while the all-over platinum had many tempted and others (including myself) falling victim to the trend, we're now realising the ramifications of such a job; dark, natural rooted regrowth. Though, ofc, Kourtney is a pro at styling the inevitable regrowth, as she's shown with her most recent Instagram post.

Scroll through the below carousel to see the inch-long roots she's embracing:

Although not intentional, the blonde and black contrast of colours is very much giving an interpretation of the much-loved skunk-style trend. Even Kourt's younger sister, Kim Kardashian was all-over this look not so long ago!

The original transformation took place on Kourtney's Instagram Story, where the eldest Kardashian sister teased fans with a BTS from the salon chair, revealing her newly-bleached hair in foils. It was one helluva hair transformation!

Just a few hours later she posted a throwback photo of her teenage years in which she had a long blonde bob, following up with a debut photo of her new platinum blonde hair. "17-year-old Kourt... strikes again," she wrote alongside both photos which – not only showed off her hair transformation – but also how she literally hasn't aged a day in almost three decades.

Unsurprisingly, Kourt's new lewk went down a real treat with fans. "Her blonde era," one fan wrote in the comments section, as another said: "Thought I’d never see the day you go blonde."

"Don't ever go back to brunette," someone else commented, as a fourth fan chimed in with: "She stays winning."

Explaining why she first went blonde all those years ago, Kourt wrote on her Story that back in 1995 she was "bored during finals" and convinced someone to dye her hair to "procrastinate".

Speaking about her time as a former blonde, the reality TV star said on her website [via People] in 2019: "Even though I’ll probably never do something this extreme with my hair again — because it destroyed my hair and took forever to get healthy — I’m happy I tried it once."

Never say never, eh Kourt!?
