When it comes to Whitney Leavitt’s fate on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, let’s just say Hulu had it coming. During her final Broadway performance as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Sunday, May 3, Whitney announced she was done with the hit reality series and MomTok for good.

In a clip obtained by TMZ, Whitney pointed to a newspaper in character and said, “Oh, what is that? Let me see. ‘Whitney Leavitt announces she’s leaving The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.’” Of course, the audience ate it up, and cheers erupted.

Several reports regarding her departure surfaced soon after and even made their way to social media. Her fellow MomTok members even caught wind of the news—and seemingly confirmed it—when they commented on a post from a SLOMW fan account.

“Can’t wait to see the amazing things she will accomplish,” Layla wrote, seemingly confirming Whitney’s exit from the Hulu reality show.

Demi Engemann, with whom Whitney formed an unlikely alliance during the early seasons of SLOMW, also chimed in with a supportive comment featuring clapping hands and white heart emojis.

Whitney’s decision to leave Mormon Wives comes after her successful stints on Dancing With the Stars and Chicago on Broadway.

Amid reports that SLOMW production had been paused due to a domestic violence dispute between Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, Whitney previously told Interview magazine that she had been auditioning for scripted shows during her time on Broadway, saying, “As far as Secret Lives, I just don’t know. I don’t know what that future looks like, especially right now.”

She also teased a potential exit from Mormon Wives during a March interview with The Hollywood Reporter, saying, “I’m figuring it out in real time. We’re figuring it out together, but it feels like that’s the trajectory of where it’s going. But again, I wouldn’t be where I am without it, but it feels like it’s time to challenge myself in other ways and fulfill these dreams and passions that I’ve been trying to get even before the show.”

Can’t wait to see what the future holds for Whitney!
