- Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette was canceled three days before its premiere in March amid a domestic violence dispute with her ex, Dakota Mortensen.
- Earlier this month, Reality Steve reported that her season might actually air on ABC this summer.
- Now, DeuxMoi tipsters double down on Steve’s claims, adding that it may hit Hulu between July and August.
Although Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette was canceled three days before it was set to premiere in March, several sources claim that it could actually see the light of day this summer.
Disney’s upfront took place on Tuesday, May 12, when the corporation and its networks (including ABC, ofc) presented their upcoming fall programming slate. According to Deadline, the event revealed that “there will be no Bachelor-branded series on ABC’s fall schedule amid the turmoil surrounding the most recent installment of The Bachelorette” for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, a DeuxMoi tipster separately weighed in after the upfront, claiming that the rumors of her season returning are true but “a little different than it’s being reported.”
“Most of the season will be released only on Hulu between July and August, but the live finale will air on ABC at the end of August; this will also be where the new Bachelor is revealed,” the anonymous source shared, adding, “ABC is hoping to finalize a deal with Robert Irwin to lead the show this fall, but if not, the next choice is Taylor's runner-up from her season. Should be an exciting next few months for the Bachelor franchise.”
DeuxMoi also suggested that the rumor could potentially hold some weight, since Disney’s upfront focused on fall programming, and the rumor about TFP’s season dropping revolves around the summer season.
The reported updates come after Reality Steve broke the news that TFP’s season might actually air on ABC this summer earlier this month.
“My guess is that’s when they will announce they’ve officially moved forward and are going to play Taylor Frankie Paul’s season this summer on ABC,” Steve said in an exclusive report posted on his Instagram Reels, adding that he initially didn’t “think it was going anywhere” because of ABC’s wording in its cancellation announcement.
“You would have just said we’re done and this show is never airing. It’s supposed to air this summer on ABC, which is a little surprising to me, because, remember, when you’re airing on a network, you have to carve out—this show is usually eleven weeks long. You have to carve out eleven different Sundays or Mondays,” he added.
Take this all with a grain of salt, obviously, until ABC addresses what’s really going to happen with Taylor’s season.
