The Netflix rom-com renaissance continues and it’s no surprise that the streamer that has given us hits like Someone Great, People We Meet on Vacation, and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is officially back with another incredible film that will leave you absolutely swooning. It helps, of course, that the one and only Zoey Deutch is back and returning after Set It Up, this time partnered up with longtime friend Nick Robinson. Together, they bring Leah McKendrick’s stunning story to life and you can finally get a sneak peek at it.

Cosmopolitan has a first look at the film and its trailer, which you can check out below. In it, we find out how Zoey’s Jill suddenly gets connected to Nick’s Wes after she accidentally calls him after he ends up taking over her sister’s phone number.

“I think that it is a love story between sisters at its core, which really got me, because I love my sister more than anything on this planet,” Zoey exclusively told Cosmopolitan.

Nick Offerman, Lukas Gage, Harry Shum Jr., Ciara Bravo, Megan Danso, Toby Sandeman, Spencer Lord, Gil Bellows, and writer and director Leah McKendrick all star in the film.

While not her first time stepping into these roles, Voicemails for Isabelle is sure to bring writer, director, and fellow cast member, Leah, into the spotlight.

“Leah has worked to make this movie for seven-plus years, and I’ve been a fan of it for almost as long, and I’m just so proud of what she’s created,” Zoey continued. “She’s just the best, and she deserves the world.”

The movie’s long journey has made it all worth it for the multi-hyphenate who is putting herself on the map with this film just like Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.

“I’m grateful for every detour, because in the end I got to direct it myself,” Leah revealed to Cosmo. “In 2018, that was pure fantasy.”
