• Chrishell Stause called Katharine McPhee and “insecure” women who dates “problematic men” in the comments of a TikTok video.
  • Katharine alleged that she has “no idea” why Chrishell was targeting her.
  • Chrishell later explained that she didn’t like Katharine supporting Spencer Pratt’s mayoral campaign while he’s backed by President Trump.

Not even sure how to begin with this one, but: Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause appears to be fully feuding with Katharine McPhee, and the internet is collectively boggled as to why. It looks like it all started when Katharine performed in support of Spencer Pratt’s Los Angeles mayoral campaign—more on that later.

The feud first ignited when Chrishell commented underneath a TikTok video that noted Katharine’s past relationship with ex-husband Nick Cokas—the pair faced a cheating controversy when she was spotted kissing her Smash director while they were both still married; their relationship lasted between 2008 and 2014. After divorcing, she married singer David Foster in 2019—the TikTok included a clip of David calling Katharine’s younger self “fat.”

Elsewhere, the TikTok video included a clip of David and Katharine holding an event in support of Spencer’s mayoral campaign. David played piano while Katharine sang that Spencer was better than every other candidate running, despite him being backed by President Donald Trump.

“One day she will find her real inner confidence but it won't come until after she is discarded enough times by the problematic men she backs,” Chrishell commented on the video. “An insecure woman will steal your man, and give the worst advice.”

When asked about the drama in a social media post on E! News’ social channel, Katharine explained that she was clueless about why she was getting heavily criticized by Chrishell. “Honestly, I have no idea,” she wrote in the comments. “I am just as confused about this controversy as you lmao.”

Chrishell later opened up about why she went after Katharine on Threads, saying, “It’s so annoying that the article doesn’t include what I was even responding to. But if you are in these streets campaigning for Trump backed Pratt, yeah I’m gonna eye roll your advice on men Katherine.” She also alleged that “2 comments on the post on IG” were hidden by E! News.
